Copper Cayuse operates in a tenured backcountry area in the Birkenhead
Valley. See the back-country as gold seekers of old - from the back of a
horse. Ride on ancient routes along mountain trails that take you up steep
inclines, through quiet forested areas, and along the banks of the

Three hours of western fun in the rugged west coast mountain range east
of Pemberton. Ride the steep mountain trails, pass an old hard rock gold
mine and see the beautiful "Enchanted Forest". The family will enjoy the
thrill of the past and the calm serenity of a working mountain horse under
the guidance of our knowledgeable and friendly wranglers. A saddlebag snack
is included in your price. In 2010, this trail ride will be open from May

Spend a full five hours on the trail on this exhilarating mountain
adventure in the gorgeous Birkenhead or Tenquille Valleys. Whether you are
an advanced or novice rider, this is an excellent starter ride for those
who wish to enjoy the beauty of a working mountain horse. Your experience
could start you on a path to longer adventures into British Columbia’s
horse accessible wilderness. A saddlebag lunch is included with this
adventure; please include any dietary requests with your reservation. In
2010, this trail ride will operate from May 15 through October 16.
For this trip, you can choose one of two trails: the Prospector,
featuring an old hard-rock mine and other geological points of interest,
or the Enchanted Forest, which includes a visit to a particularly beautiful
stand of ancient timber.
Ride times: 9:30 AM. Please be at the trailhead at least 15 minutes
before your departure time.
Maximum ten (10) riders per time slot. Rides must be booked at least 24
hours ahead of departure time.
Hats, insect repellant, and sunscreen are highly recommended through
the summer months.
Transportation: Riders are welcome and encouraged to bring their own
vehicles, or otherwise travel on their own to the trailhead at Poole Creek.
